    Manhattan Landmark - The Savoy Plaza Hotel
    Built in 1927 at 5th Avenue & 59th Street, the Savoy Plaza Hotel dominated the New York gateway between Midtown and Central Park for decades as the reining luxury hotel of its time. The elegant design included 2 chimneys and 7 penthouse rooms on the North façade and Milton Horn was commissioned to create the sculpted ceiling of the Savoy’s Perfume Salon. With a grand ballroom, over 1000 lavish rooms, and original home to the infamous Trader Vic’s restaurant, the Savoy Plaza Hotel was popular among New York’s distinguished society at the height of the Roaring 20’s.
